Nine Portuguese restaurants have been elected among the thousand “best in the world”.
The La Liste 2020 ranking is an initiative by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The highest ranked Portuguese restaurants on the list are Vila Joya (Albufeira) and Ocean (Porches) in the Algarve. Il Galo d´Oro in Funchal, Belcanto in Lisbon, Fortaleza do Guincho in Cascais, the Feitoria and Alma restaurants, both in Lisbon, Henrique Leis restaurant in Almancil and The Yeatman in Vila Nova de Gaia, are all also on the list.
