This quick estimate by INE compares with the year-on-year changes in the number of guests and overnight stays in April, when declines of 97.4 percent and 97.0 percent were recorded, respectively.
The INE also states that, in year-on-year terms, residents 'overnight stays will have decreased by 85.6 percent (against a 93.0 percent fall in April) and non-residents' overnight stays will have decreased by 98.1 percent (against a decline of 98.6 percent in the previous month).
In May, around 69.7 percent of tourist accommodation establishments were closed or there was no movement of guests, stresses the INE.
Good thing they hired 2600 more gnr officers for all those tourists....
