The conference that is bringing US president Barack Obama to Porto is the first event of what is intended to be a “movement” to find solutions to climate change, the organisers said on Monday.

Speaking at a press conference, the organisers said a document committing the community and particularly the business community to fight against climate change would be unveiled at the “Climate Change Leadership Porto Summit 2018”, at the Coliseu do Porto on
6 July.

On the day of the conference, some 3,000 guests will hear Barack Obama approach the importance of mitigating the problem and answering about 25 pre-selected questions.
