António Costa said that a virtual cabinet meeting would be held at 09:00 today to declare the end of the energy crisis, triggered following the drivers' strike.

The head of government also estimated that it would be possible to shut down the exclusive REPA network and raise the fuel consumption limit for the general public to 25 litres.

The National Union of Dangerous Goods Drivers (SNMMP) announced on Sunday that it has decided to call off the strike that began on Monday 12.

The decision, announced by the president of the SNMMP, Francisco São Bento, was taken during a plenary of union workers, which took place on Sunday afternoon in Aveiras de Cima.

The government confirmed today that a meeting is scheduled for Tuesday in the ministry of infrastructure in Lisbon to resume negotiations.
