The event involves an 8 kilometre run or a 4 kilometre walk, along the beach, at night, with participants lighting the way with torches.
European cross-country champion Paulo Guerra will be taking part in the SharkRace, which starts by Portimão marina, and ends with a live DJ set and party on the beach.
