Portugal had a rate of 3.4% marriages per thousand inhabitants registered in 2018, according to data released by the EU’s statistics office Eurostat.
Portugal trails the list, with only Luxembourg and Italy having fewer. Conversely, Cyprus has the highest number of weddings, followed by Romania and Lithuania.
