Portugal has featured on a list of the world’s most dangerous beaches

The list, complied by Love Money, lists 18 beaches around the world considered dangerous for reasons ranging from crocodile and shark attacks to strong currents, crime and pollution.

The Algarve was included on the list for its rough waves in places and also because of its cliffs.

Listed in 14th the text accompanying the photo recalls the deadly rock fall in 2009 in Albufeira in which five people died and three were injured.

it is not so easy to say " that they are idiots" -we must understand that it is very easy NOT look at the signs -saying DANGER!! it is imperative that the local police will be on duty to alert of the danger!! ON THE BEACH EVERYWHERE!!

I agree, its irresponsible adults who ignore the warning signs and set up just below the cliffs.

It's not the rock falls that are dangerous, it's the idiots who ignore the warning signs and setup next to them for shade. Buy an umbrella or is your life not worth €10?
