According to the survey conducted by APS among its members, provisional data as of December 31 point to the participation of almost 10 thousand claims covered by insurance in an "aggregate amount of damages (paid and provisioned) exceeding 18 million euros".

Around 90% of the costs relate to home insurance and insurance for commercial and industrial activities.

These figures are still provisional. APS will update the information to obtain final data.

The bad weather caused by storm Elsa, Dec. 18-20, which was joined on Dec. 21 by the Fabien Depression, caused three deaths and left more than 100 people homeless.

It also caused damage to homes, train lines, highways and the electricity grid.
