The Portuguese Hotel Association (AHP) is calling for free public transport for tourists, residents and workers "at least until the end of 2020" and exemption from tourist and municipal fees.

The Association sent a letter to the National Association of Municipalities and «to several» Portuguese counties with proposals to support hotel companies to help their recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Association recalled many hotel companies are currently "closed and have bleak prospects for the future".
