PSP arrested seven people daily for drug trafficking in the last week

The PSP police detained seven people daily for drug trafficking and seized over 7,500 doses of drugs during the last week across Portugal.

In a statement, the Public Security Police said that 54 people had been arrested between 14 and 20 September as part of operations across the country to combat drug trafficking.

As a result of these operations, the PSP seized 10,860 doses of heroin, 1,059 doses of cocaine and 41,357 doses of hashish.

The PSP also stated that during operations to combat drug trafficking, "large amounts of money, goods and other objects related to this activity were also seized”.
