PSP arrested a 43-year-old woman in Braga on 31 March for disturbances inside a bakery, saying she was infected with the covid-19 virus and spitting on objects and people, even attacking them.

In a statement, PSP adds that the bakery owner said the situation has been repeated for several days, affecting the normal functioning of the establishment, as well as endangering the physical integrity of employees and customers.

"According to information obtained on the spot, she was accused of telling customers that she was infected with the covid-19 virus and spitting on objects and people, even attacking them," the statement said.

PSP says that, in order to raise awareness and alert the women to current security contingencies, she was advised to return to her home, but she refused.

The woman "continued to deny going to the house, always maintaining an irreducible posture".

For this reason, she was arrested and notified to appear in the Judicial Court of the District of Braga.
