PSP makes operation that aims at No Name Boys

The Public Security Police (PSP) is carrying out an operation in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area in order to comply with home search and arrest warrants for various crimes related to the cheerleaders No Name Boys.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Command of Lisbon of the PSP said that the origin of the operation was an investigation into elements of the cheerleading team No Name Boys, supporter of Benfica.

According to the PSP, several procedural and investigative steps are underway, namely, home and non-home searches, as well as the execution of several arrest warrants other than flagrante delicto, issued by a judicial authority.

“Over the course of about a year, various crimes were investigated, including theft, offenses against qualified physical integrity, damage and homicide in the attempted form, committed by a group of individuals belonging to the No Name Boys, says the PSP.

The PSP refers later on, more information about the so-called “Operation without a Face”.
