The Mercedes driver’s 92nd victory was one of his most crushing, Hamilton lapping all but three rivals at the Portuguese Grand Prix.
The six-times world champion, who joined Mercedes from McLaren in 2013 and is now set for a record-equalling seventh title, as drivers head over to Italy to race at Imola.
Lapping all but three rivals because the Merc is a recket ship compared to the rest of the field and the circuit is so short that they are running approx 1m 20s lap times.
To win a WDC Lewis just has to not make mistakes.
For Bottas to win a WDC he has to beat one of the greatest modern drivers in the same car, and make no mistakes, and beat probably the greatest new driver (VES) who can extract way more performance out of his car than anyon else on the grid.
For Max to win a WDC, he needs to beat both BOT and HAM in superior cars, and not make any mistakes.
Small wonder then that HAM is about to claim yet another WDC, and will probably stick around to capitalise on Merc dominance to head towards 10 WDC's possibly...
