The event, which took place from 9 to 14 August, has reinvented itself, especially with regard to entertainment, and brought crowds back to Jardim Pescador Olhanense and set records for selling tickets and shellfish.
“After more than three decades of the Seafood Festival, we understood that it was time to give it a new breath and a new dynamic” said the president of the local authority, António Miguel Pina at the closing of the event, ensuring that “this was a winning bet. This year we had a younger festival with a new look, but one that has not lost sight of its two fundamental pillars: the best cuisine and a luxury music line up. ”
“This was the best Seafood Festival of the last 15 years,” concluded the mayor.
The 34th edition of the event featured several innovations, including aerial animation, which opened each night of the event and captivated those present.
On the stage, this year were Matias Damásio, HMB, Killer Queen, Paula Fernandes, Ludmilla and Resistência, who attracted thousands of Algarvians and tourists to the city.
The tens of thousands of visitors who passed by Jardim Pescador Olhanense were joined by figures known to the general public, such as soccer player Neymar Jr., or Dolores Aveiro, mother of Cristiano Ronaldo.
