The drop in the price of the tariff applied in the regulated market is of five euros per megawatt / hour (MWh) to the total electricity bill of consumers.
This measure was approved by the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), on April 1, following a fall in energy prices in the Iberian Electricity Market (MIBEL).
Thank god, I hope these savings are passed onto the good people in Portugal!!!! The energy companies apart from water, must have a mask and a striped jumper..... lets kick the mafia out of Portugal, it’s stifling tourism, productivity and growth!!!! Take heed ignorant estado!!!!

Hi Linda, I totally agree. I have a holiday home in Portugal that is also let to Guests etc.. by Algarve villa Holidays limited in the busy months of the year-but effectively this is only in use for 2/3rds of the year. But my electricity bill in Portugal is nearly "double" that of my combined electricity & Gas utility costs for the year of our uk family home!!
