“Due to commercial reasons, our connection between Porto and Lisbon will cease to operate from 25 October,” said the airline in a statement to Lusa.

“However, we will continue to operate 57 routes from Porto and 30 from Lisbon in the winter of 2019,” countered Ryanair.

Jornal de Notícias was the first newspaper to notice the lack of flights between the two cities and noted that in March the company had already indicated that "the domestic Lisbon-Porto route is served by various means, including rail and road”.
