An increase in the risk of fire is expected for the next few days, according to the IPMA estimate.
This fire risk determined by the IPMA has five levels, ranging from reduced to maximum.
Calculations for this risk are obtained from air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.
On the continent, the IPMA forecasts little cloudy or clear skies, presenting periods of greater cloudiness on the coast north of Cabo Raso until late morning and in the north and centre in the afternoon.
A light to moderate north-northwest wind is also expected, sometimes blowing strong in the western coastal strip south of Cape Raso in the afternoon and in the highlands.
The forecast also points to the possibility of formation of fog or morning fog in some places in the north and centre regions and a small rise in the maximum temperature in the interior.
The minimum temperatures on the continent will vary between 7 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 16 (in Faro) and the maximum between 20 (in Porto, Guarda, and Viana do Castelo) and 30 (in Faro).
