The action will be staged at Porto, Funchal and Porto Santo airports and was called in protest against the company’s decision to not pay overtime and holidays in accordance with staff’s collective work contracts.


Unions say they expect most of the 400 security officers at the three airports to participate in the strike, which could result in long delays at security checkpoints located between the check-in desks and departure gates.
