Seven arrested at illegal rave

The Santarém Territorial Command, through the Territorial Detachment of Santarém, detained seven men, aged between 25 and 40 years old, in a police operation in Rio Maior, at dawn on 30 May.

Within the scope of a Special Criminal Prevention Operation, which began with a traffic inspection in the city of Rio Maior, after an anonymous report, the military went to a farm in São João da Ribeira, having detected an electronic music party that took place illegally inside a tent, hidden in the vegetation, with the participation of about 40 people and without any type of licensing.

As a result of this action, the event was closed, two men aged 25 and 40 were arrested for the crime of driving a car under the influence of alcohol and five men, aged between 18 and 35, for the crime of drug trafficking. Ten reports of occurrence per consumption were also identified and prepared, and the facts were communicated to the Commission for the Deterrence of Drug Addiction.

78 doses of hashish, 58 doses of MDMA and 19 doses of Cocaine were seized.

The detainees were constituted defendants and the facts communicated to the Judicial Court of Rio Maior.

The operation included the reinforcement of the Santarém Intervention Detachment (DI).
