The crackdown was launched on Saturday and involved officers patrolling roads in the aforementioned areas focusing their attentions specifically on drugs.
Five people were
detained for drug trafficking, one for being in possession of an illegal weapon and another for driving while drunk, a statement from the GNR confirmed.
A further 86 doses of hashish were seized during the sweep, along with 43 doses of cocaine, eight doses of cannabis, eight LSD pills, 12.7 grams of hallucinogenic ‘magic mushrooms’ and a katana sword.
