A team of researchers from the Centre for Geography and Spatial Planning Studies (CEGOT) of the University of Coimbra (UC), coordinated by Paula Santana, “is carrying out a worldwide questionnaire with the aim of understanding and evaluating the consequences that the covid-19 pandemic is having on family, social and community relations ”, says the UC in a note sent to the Lusa agency.

The survey, available at https://surveys.uc.pt/index.php/992535?lang=pt, has “translation into 13 languages”.

The team of researchers hopes, in this way, "to be able to reach individuals from different territories in the world, aged 18 or over", says the researcher, appealing to the participation of citizens.

“In addition to the characteristics of the individual, housing and the surrounding area, we want to assess how the contexts of life, work / study and leisure and the access and use of health care are being affected by the covid-19 pandemic” , highlights the study coordinator.

“Another relevant aspect, which will emerge from the responses to this questionnaire, is related to the citizens' perception of the role of local authorities in minimizing social and economic impacts”, he adds.

The CEGOT team of researchers guarantees the confidentiality of the data and the anonymity of the respondents.

"There will be no disclosure or communication of individual results", says Paula Santana, assuring that "the data collected will be used exclusively for the purposes of fundamental and applied scientific research".
