TAP cleared after Venezuela inquiry

National flag carrier TAP has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the case involving the alleged transport of explosives from Lisbon to Caracas.

The news comes following an internal commission of inquiry was launched by the Home Ministry.

The incident, which resulted in the arrest of the uncle of the opposition leader in Venezuela, has sparked a diplomatic incident with Portugal, resulting in a 90-day blanket ban in all flights operated by TAP to the South American country
