After signing the privatisation agreement, the new TAP shareholders announced an order for 53 latest generation Airbus planes: 15 A320neo, 12 A321neo, 12 A321LR (Long Range) and 14 A330neo.
Later, another 18 planes were ordered bringing the total to 71, which should all be delivered by 2025.
TAP said these new planes would be “more modern, comfortable and 15% more efficient in terms of fuel and CO2 emissions”.
