TAP is to have 11 weekly flights between Lisbon and Praia in July, August and September.

In a communiqué sent to Lusa, TAP said that the connections offer the passengers “better possibilities to travel to and from Boston, in the USA, with immediate connections in Lisbon ".

The Portuguese airline currently flies to the airports of Praia, Sal, São Vicente and Boavista.

The increase in the TAP connections to Cape Verde come at a time when the local carrier TACV is faced with a difficult financial situation that even led to one of its planes being seized in Holland and it has had problems ensuring some connections to the USA and Europe.
