From tomorrow (28 May), temperatures are to gradually rise, according to the Portuguese weather institute (IPMA).
Meteorologist Ângela Lourenço, told Lusa News Agency that above average temperatures are on their way this week, with the hottest weather expected in the south and in the interior of Portugal.
Predictions are for Saturday, 1 June, to be the hottest day of the week and that the hot and dry weather is expected to continue.
“We will have hot, dry weather with very low levels of humidity and these conditions are not conducive to fire fighting,” warned Lourenço
So to all you smokers, please extinguish your cigarette butts properly and dispose of them responsibly!
