According to a report released on Thursday, these areas can see a two-bedroom apartment rented out for €150 per day.

Based on the average values charged at 200 establishments in 26 areas of Lisbon and Porto that are marketed on the Airbnb online platform and managed by GuestReady, the property management agency that produced the report, the lowest prices in both cities are in areas near train stations, according to the document.

“An apartment with a room next to [Porto's] Campanhã station can bring in on average €55 per day, while similar accommodation near [Lisbon's] Oriente train station can cost €75," it notes.

According to the data analysed, which focuses on accommodation with one or two bedrooms, the most expensive area in Porto is Avenida dos Aliados, where a one-bedroom apartment costs on average €120 per day and a two-bedroom one up to €150 per day.

In Lisbon, the most expensive areas are Rua do Alecrim and Rua Garret, both in Chiado, where prices for two-bedroom apartments can reach €130 a day.

Cheaper areas include Rua da Cedofeita in Porto, with average prices of €70 and €85 for one- and two-bedroom apartments respectively, and Avenida Almirante Reis and Largo do Rato in Lisbon, with average prices of €70 or €90 per day.
