Taste has a spacious and bright interior and offers plenty of seating both inside and outside. The ambience in the restaurant is calm and friendly, with fun coloured mood lighting as well as intimate and warm lit candles.

Upon arrival, the staff are quick to welcome you and show you to your table, when sat down the waiters announce the cocktail of the day and the daily food specials. The drinks menu offers a varied choice of classic cocktails and their own unique cocktails with clever and witty names. Starting from 26 October to 1 November Taste will be serving limited edition Halloween Cocktails. Waiters are attentive and ready to take the drinks order so you can sip your special cocktails whilst exploring the varied food menu.

Whether you want a small portion or a full meal there is both options available, the tapas menu consists of 16 smaller dishes and you are advised to have 2 or 3 per person. This is perfect if you are sharing and can try several of the tapas options, one plate is big enough to divide between two. Every Friday until the end of March 2020 Tapas Rodizio - all you can eat tapas specially chosen by the chef, for only €17 per person. The main menu consists of a wide range of salads, fresh fish and meats including steaks, which on Saturday nights is €16 for an Argentinean Rib Eye. The menu caters for everyone and includes a specific vegetarian and vegan selection. They have an exciting and unique menu for the children with fun elements incorporated into the food like their colourful trio of mini burgers and playful mocktails. Any allergies and special dietary requirements like gluten or lactose free are also available upon request.

The coverts were quick with warm bread, followed by the tasty starters and tapas dishes, which were generous portions for the value. Guests at the restaurant were treated to complements of the chef, a pallet cleanser of melon, prosciutto, basil and balsamic vinegar in between courses. Mains were well presented, bright and flavoursome with great aromas satisfying all the senses. They also served notably good chunky chips, which can often say a lot about a restaurant! Then, if you haven’t already over indulged, desserts are rich and perfectly sweet to satisfy the sugar crave at the end of a savoury overdose, the perfect way to finish the meal and leaving you wanting to come back for more.

Nicola, co owner of Taste, is a welcoming and kind host, taking the time to go round each table and make sure guests were pleased with the service, food and general experience, a very personal touch which made the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed. It is obvious a lot of effort and hard work has gone into creating the restaurants image and reputation, and it has really paid off. There is great attention to details with the table set ups, menu designs and staff uniforms all being in keeping with their iconic logo and brand colours.

Overall a wonderful and memorable experience, well located with easy parking and access, welcoming staff with a comfortable atmosphere and great food and drink options to please everyone.
