Thousands of bikers expected in Faro

The international Faro Bike Meet returns for the 38th year this week between 18 and 21 July

Bikers from all over the world will be coming together this week in Faro to take part in the annual Faro Bike Meet, with 20,000 visitors expected to take part in the internationally renowned event.

Organised by the Moto Clube de Faro, the four day event costs €45 to attend on a day pass which includes a goody bag with an official T-shirt, meal passes and a chance to win a new motorbike or a week in Daytona.

Within the event there will be live music from Dutch band Within Temptation, Portuguese band Amor Electro and Gisela João and other shows every evening. There will also be 24 hour bar service, bike shows, tattoo stands, contests and much more to keep visitors entertained night and day.

As usual, there will be a bus between the festival located in Vale das Almas next to Faro airport and Faro city from 11am on 18 July, until 8am on 21 July.

On the final day of the meet there will be the traditional motorcycle parade through the streets of Faro, offering residents and visitors to the city the chance to wave the bikers off as the leave for another year.
