According to the Mobility and Transport Authority (AMT), transport users' complaints increased 23 percent to 10,431 in the second half of 2018 compared to the first, and the regulator attributed part of this increase to the "pressure" put on the operators by increasing public service users.

The complaints in CP increased 56.3 percent (+ 1,041) compared to the first semester and the Metropolitano de Lisboa rose 12.5 percent, while in road transport the complaints increased in the RNE (+ 78 percent), TST (+ 147.6 percent), Vimeca Transportes-Viação mecanica de Carnaxide (+ 189.7 percent) and Eva Transportes (+ 76.5 percent).

As for river transport, the total number of complaints was 760 in the second quarter, with a decrease of 4.5 percent (36 complaints less).
