Ana Alves highlights the “quality of wine grapes” as Trás-os-Montes´added value and explained that due to the climate, hot summers and cold winters, “there are fewer pests and diseases in the vineyard”.


The mayor of Valpaços, Amílcar Almeida said that in the municipality the wine represents a turnover of around €30 million per year. To encourage production and quality, the CVRTM holds a competition that this year had the participation of 109 wines.
