Twelve detained for dodging Covid confinement in Algarve

Twelve people have been detained by GNR police, in the Algarve, for flouting mandatory confinement under the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to newspaper Correio da Manhã the arrests occurred due to non-compliance with the instructions issued by health authorities, after contact with infected people. The latest arrest took place on Monday, in Albufeira. A 43-year-old woman was intercepted on the street despite being told to stay at home.

3000 people died of flu in 2019 in Portugal,was it headline news? No.
Most of the people who have died were over 80 and had other problems and flu would have killed them anyway.
