Very high fire risk in eight municipalities

Eight municipalities in the districts of Faro and Portalegre now been placed on a very high risk of fire.

The Portuguese Met Office has placed the municipalities of Lagos, Portimão, Silves, Loulé, São Brás de Alportel, Tavira and Alcoutim in the district of Faro and Gavião in Portalegre on the second highest risk level.

At high risk of fire are a further 29 counties in the districts of Bragança, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Santarém, Évora, Beja and Faro.
