On Thursday 20th April, at 20h00, Sir Cliff Richard was presented with an award of merit for his years of dedication to Portugal by the Ambassador to Britain in a special ceremony held in London.

Ambassador Fernando Andresen Guimarães condecorated Sir Cliff with the Portuguese Order of Infante Dom Henrique (Prince Henry the Navigator) at the Embassy’s residence at 12 Belgrave Square during an intimate evening meal, attended only by some 30 guests.
Even though the event was a small affair, it was covered by one of the UK’s most sought after celebrity glossies.
The award was presented as a means of recognition for the way the legendary singer has promoted Portugal over the decades that he has lived here.
