VRSA council supports fire-fighters

The Vila Real de Santo António City Council will support the VRSA Voluntary Fire-fighters Humanitarian Association through the acquisition of 80 pieces of equipment for personal protection to combat structural and forest fires.

The investment has a value of 16,744 Euros and aims to provide fire-fighters with the appropriate means to cope with the critical fire season, as part of the local corporation's integration into the Special Rural Fire Fighting Device.

The equipment is intended to ensure the protection and maintenance of the physical integrity of the members of the humanitarian association engaged in the pursuit of this activity.

It is recalled that the Special Rural Fire Fighting Device in the Algarve Region results from a cooperation protocol promoted by the Algarve Intermunicipal Community, the City Councils, the National Civil Protection Authority and the Algarve Fire Federation.
