Eneko Arrondo, researcher at the Doñana Biological Station found the vultures are travelling further afield to find found after a law passed in Portugal in 2011 stipulated that livestock that dies of natural causes much be immediately buried or incinerated. The three-year study which tracked 71 carnivorous birds of two different species found that vultures nowadays rarely venture into Portugal.
