These five districts will be under orange warning between 13:00 and 21:00 today due to the prediction of sometimes heavy hail, accompanied by strong gusts of wind and favourable conditions for thunderstorms.

The orange warning, the second most severe on a scale of four, indicates moderate to high risk weather.

Also because of heavy rain, hail, wind and thunderstorm, the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Coimbra, Portalegre, Évora and Beja will be between 13:00 and 21:00 under a yellow warning.

The IPMA forecasts periods of cloudy skies today across Portugal and favourable conditions for the occurrence thunderstorms until the end of the afternoon, especially in the interior regions.

Minimum temperatures in Portugal will range from 13 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) to 20 degrees in Faro and a maximum of 22 degrees in Guarda and 33 in Santarém.
