According to IPMA, both districts will have the yellow warning between 12:00 and 21:00 today due to strong winds up to 75 kilometres per hour, especially in the coastal and mountain areas.

This warning is the second least serious and is issued when weather conditions pose a “risk for certain activities”.

The IPMA forecast for today in the continent is for a cloudless or clean sky, with periods of cloudiness up to mid-morning, especially on the west coast and Alentejo, and with a possibility of light rain or showers, which may persist throughout the day in the coastal zone of the central region.

During the afternoon, a slight increase will be noticed with a more cloudless sky in the regions of the North and Centrre, with a possibility of showers.

The forecast also points to weak to moderate wind from the northwest, becoming moderate to strong on the west coast and Algarve, with gusts up to 75 kilometres, per hour south of Cabo Montego, especially from the afternoon.

The minimum temperatures will range between 14 degree Celsius (in Portalegre), and 18 degrees (in Faro) and the maximum between 23 (in Aveiro and Leiria) and 35 (in Castelo Branco).
