Yellow weather warnings in Portugal

Ten districts of mainland Portugal will be under yellow warning on Wednesday and Thursday due to the forecast of strong sea unrest, according to the Portuguese Institute of Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

The districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Leiria, Lisbon, Setubal, Beja and Faro will be under yellow alert between 12:00 on Wednesday and 6:00 on Thursday.

For the entire Portuguese coast, IPMA forecasts northwest waves of 4 to 4.5 metres.

The IPMA has also placed the western (Flores and Corvo) and central (Graciosa, São Jorge, Terceira, Pico and Faial) groups under yellow warning because of the sea unrest (between 06:00 today and 06:00 Wednesday). Thursday) and precipitation (between 21:00 today and 06:00 Wednesday).

The IPMA forecasts for today on the continent a very cloudy or overcast sky, there is also a possibility of snowfall above 1200/1300 metres in the northern region from the afternoon.

Minimum temperatures on the continent will range from -1 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) to 7 (in Lisbon and Faro) and maximums between 6 (in Guarda) and 16 (in Faro).
