Hoog boven Viana do Castelo staat het heiligdom van Santa Luzia.
De kerk is gebouwd tussen 1904 en 1943 en is geïnspireerd op Romaanse en Byzantijnse architectuur. Het ontwerp wordt vaak vergeleken met de Sacré-Coeur basiliek in Parijs.
