Located in an area of over 1,300 square metres, in the Urbanization of Quinta da Malta, in an area of expansion in the city, CUF Leiria will provide a wide range of healthcare services, with consultations in more than 20 medical and surgical specialties, including General and Family Medicine, Paediatrics, Gynecology-Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, and Cardiology.

The clinic also provides nursing care, clinical analysis, and other complementary diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, mammography, and magnetic resonance imaging, to be made available by the end of the first semester.

CUF also intends to offer consultations without an appointment in General and Family Medicine, but there is still no date for the opening of this service.

According to a press release sent to Lusa, the opening of the clinic represents the first phase of the project, which will be concluded with the opening of the CUF Leiria Hospital, which represents an investment of 50 million euros, to be built in partnership with Mekkin - a multinational group based in Leiria.

The chairman of the CUF executive committee, Rui Diniz, stated that the opening of the CUF Leiria Clinic is “an important step towards the expansion and consolidation strategy of the CUF network, which will allow for an increase in the offer of differentiated health care to the population of the region and respond to their prevention, diagnosis and treatment needs”.

The CUF network comprises 22 hospitals and clinics, implemented in the municipalities of Lisbon, Porto, Almada, Oeiras, Cascais, Sintra, Mafra, Torres Vedras, Santarém, Coimbra, Viseu, S. João da Madeira, Matosinhos, Montijo and, now, also in Leiria.
