CP and IP workers called a strike on the 23rd and 26th of December, demanding a financial premium to compensate for the loss of purchasing power, the updating of the food subsidy, and the end of "discrimination between workers".

CP warned of "disturbances in the circulation of trains, at a national level", "with a possible impact on the days before and after the strike periods".

Customers who had already purchased tickets for cancelled trains can request a full refund, up to 10 days after the strike ends, or free revalidation for another train of the same category.

The prior notice provided for a 24-hour stoppage for the 23rd and 26th of this month and also a "strike for overtime work, including holidays and weekly rest days, from 00:00 on 12/23 to 24:00 on January 2, 2023 ".

Minimum services of 25% of trains were defined, which, according to CP, are concentrated at the beginning and end of the day.
