According to the DGS epidemiological bulletin, 73 patients are currently hospitalised in intensive care, one less compared to Sunday.
Regarding hospital admissions, the official data indicate that 277 patients are currently hospitalised, plus nine.
The single death recorded in the last 24 hours occurred in the region of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal has recorded 839,740 confirmed cases and 16,993 deaths.
With regard to the number of new cases, today's figures are similar to those recorded in recent weeks, with daily fluctuations.

In the region of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, 34 new infections were reported, accounting for 317,269 cases and 7,202 deaths so far.
Today, the North region has 70 new SARS-CoV-2 infections, totalling 337,453 infection cases and 5,345 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
In the Centre region, 16 more cases were registered, with 119,056 infections accumulating and 3,016 deaths.
In the Alentejo, nine more cases were reported, totalling 29,868 infections and 971 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
In the Algarve region, today's bulletin reveals that eight cases were registered, accumulating 21,848 infections and 360 deaths.
The Autonomous Region of Madeira registered five new cases, accounting for 9,339 infections and 68 deaths due to the covid-19 since March 2020.
Today, the Azores have 16 new cases and account for 4,907 cases and 31 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, according to DGS.
The regional authorities of the Azores and Madeira disclose their data on a daily basis, which may not coincide with the information disclosed in the DGS bulletin.
Of the total number of fatalities, 8,926 were men and 8,067 women.
The largest number of deaths continues to be concentrated in the elderly over 80 years old, followed by the age group between 70 and 79 years old.
Of the total deaths, 11,176 were people over 80 years old, 3,620 aged between 70 and 79 years old, and 1,525 were between 60 and 69 years old.
