据阿尔加维医疗卫生服务联盟透露，13 名医生将通过竞争上岗的方式进入阿尔加维的三个医疗中心组（ACeS）：其中 8 名在 ACeS 中心组，3 名在 ACeS Barlavento，2 名在 ACeS Sotavento。
该机构强调说："这一加强将直接影响到减少没有家庭医生的人数，目前该地区估计约有 106,000 人没有家庭医生"。
这样一来，"超过 21% 目前没有家庭医生的用户 "现在将得到定期监测。
这是 "初级卫生保健应对能力的重大进步"。
