Since the beginning of the pandemic, Portugal has registered a total of 1,920 deaths and 69,200 cases of infection.

The DGS indicates that three deaths have been registered in the region of Lisboa e Vale do Tejo, four in the North region and one in the Central region.

Data also indicates that 518 people with covid-19 are in hospital (plus seven in relation to Sunday), of which 61 (minus two) are in intensive care units.

In the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region, where the highest number of infections is found in the country, a further 439 new cases have been reported, accounting for 35,443 cases of infection and 731 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

The northern region now has a further 113 cases, with a total of 24,908, with 875 deaths.

In the Centre region there have been a further 30 cases, with 5,651 infections and 257 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

In the Alentejo a further 22 cases of covid-19 have been registered, totalling 1,340 cases and 23 dead so far.

The Algarve region has today reported another nine cases of infection, totalling 1,401 cases and 19 deaths per covid-19.

In the autonomous region of the Azores nine cases have been registered in the last 24 hours, totalling 252 infections and 15 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

Madeira registers another case, accounting for 205 infections, with no deaths to date.

In the last 24 hours 140 patients have recovered, so 45,736 people have already overcome the infection since the beginning of the pandemic in Portugal.

The confirmed cases are spread over all age groups, with the highest number of infections registered between 20 and 59 years old.

In total, the new coronavirus has already affected at least 31,288 men and 37,912 women in Portugal, according to the reported cases.

Of the total number of deaths, 969 were men and 951 women.

The highest number of deaths continues to be concentrated in people over 80 years of age.

Today's bulletin discloses the number of cases per municipality, with Lisbon showing the most infections (6,050), followed by Sintra (5,102), Amadora (2,914) Loures (2,913), Vila Nova de Gaia (2,154) and Odivelas (2,092).

The municipality of Cascais registers 1,880 infections per covid-19, Porto 1,732, Oeiras 1,605, Vila Franca de Xira 1,542 and Matosinhos 1,510.
