All members are artists at heart and seek to explore their talents in various ways. Polis Apoteose explains that it aims to enhance the endogenous and human resources in their region through their art, and they also seek to teach greater community participation and how to work with new information technologies and communication.
Their activities aim to stimulate local trade and commerce in order to improve the business environment among SMEs.
With so many young people on board their aims and activities are multi-faceted, but the annual Pirates Week and Spray Painted murals will be among those which have already come to the attention of readers.
Would-be actors among the group don pirate outfits every year and emerge from the sea to take over the Armaçao de Pêra fort. These very same pirates are expected to make a full-on invasion at the fair. Adults and children should be on constant look-out. The organisers of the fair cannot be held responsible...
Polis Apoteose members who are more familiar with handling a paint brush (or spray can) will be producing some delightful murals at the fair, adding yet more excitement and interest. Examples of their work can be seen on council buildings in Armação de Pêra and Silves.
This is an organisation with excellent aims and ideals and members will be very happy to discuss their plans with our fair visitors.
