SEF Borders and Immigration Officers and Inspectors Union (SIIFF) has today announced the suspension of "all warnings of strikes" decreed until Friday. In a statement the union explained the move comes after it received an invitation to meet with Home Affairs Minister Eduardo Cabrita on Friday. The Union had originally announced a series of strikes for this month; last week the government decided to enact a civil requisition for SEF workers at airports to prevent disruption caused by the action.
