Estimates are that the increase should not exceed half a cent a litre at fuel pumps.
Hopes that fuel prices would drop this morning were countered by the euro weakening against the dollar and will see a litre of diesel now cost just over 1 euro and 36 cents a litre.
Unleaded fuel is set to remain unchanged at just under 1 euro and 60 cents a litre.
