The awards ceremony took place in London on Monday night and saw two hotels in the Algarve, one in northern Portugal and one in the Azores claim a prize in the luxury categories.
The Vintage House Hotel in Pinhão (Alijó, northern Portugal) took Best New Hotel, while Monte Rei Golf (Vila Nova de Cacela, Algarve) took Best Serviced Villa or apartments.
Also in the Algarve, Casa Modesta, in Olhão, won the award for Best Environmental Hotel, while the Terra Nostra Garden Hotel, in the Azores, took Best Countryside Hotel.
Seven Portuguese hotels were nominated in total and 17 awards handed out overall, in categories including best luxury hotels for business, families or romance.
