Monchique fire smoke seen from space

A German astronaut has captured images of the smoke resulting from the Monchique fire, from as far away as space. Alexander Gerst, who is aboard the International Space Station, published three photographs on social networks on Tuesday showing a gigantic smoke cloud with its source in Monchique.
