During the usual press conference at the Ministry of Health on the covid-19 pandemic in Portugal, António Lacerda Sales indicated that more than 3.4 million people had already been tested, equivalent to about a third of the population.
Portugal is conducting an average of more than 280,000 tests for SARS-CoV-2, registering days with more than 30,000 analyzes, according to Lusa News Agency.
“We have more than 300 percent of the testing capacity we had in March, which I think is a substantial reinforcement”, added the Secretary of State.
Over last weekend, 31 October and 1 November, 52,947 tests were undertaken, of which 30,713 were on Saturday and 22,244 were on Sunday.
